Hanen Su
PhD Student
Hanen holds a BS in Bioengineering and a BA in Computer Science from UC Berkeley. He is currently a first year PhD student in Systems, Synthetic, and Physical Biology at Rice University. His research focuses on engineering stably maintained synthetic functions in microbial communities, aiming to enable controllable microbiome engineering. He enjoys exercising (basketball, biking, gym, hiking), reading, listening to history and astrophysics podcasts, watching movies, and going on random side quests around the city.
