Dr. Michael Wang

Michael joined the lab after completing his Ph.D. in Bioengineering at Rice University, where he combined computational biology and bioinformatics to explore wastewater-based epidemiology. He’s passionate about developing new molecular assays and sequencing approaches to better understand community health from wastewater. When he’s not at the computer or bench, you’ll find him on the badminton or pickleball court—or behind a drum set singing along to his favorite tunes.
