Dr. Audrey Liwen Wang

Postdoctoral Research Associate

Audrey earned her B.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the Hong Kong Polytechnic University and her M.S./Ph.D. in Environmental Engineering with a focus on Computational and Genomic Biology from the University of California, Berkeley in May 2026. She joined the Stadler Lab as a postdoctoral fellow to create a plasmid isolation and engineering platform, aiming to utilize environmental plasmids for microbiome engineering. Her passion lies in leveraging engineering, microbiology, and computational methods to tackle challenges in environmental and public health monitoring, resource recovery, bioremediation, and environmental synthetic biology. Outside of the lab, she enjoys exploring specialty coffee shops, trying new pastries, and visiting national parks.
