Research Interests:
I'm passionate about bolstering the capacity of public health monitoring systems and expanding the role of wastewater-based epidemiology to serve community needs. My research focuses on the development of a bacteria-based biosensor for the monitoring of pathogens and antibiotic resistance genes in wastewater. I'm employing synthetic biology tools to improve the transformation efficiency of the bacterium Vibrio natriegens to refine the biosensor's sensitivity for environmental monitoring applications.
